Our Experience with Cellars Wine Club
Which Club From Cellars Wine Club Did We Select?
We chose the Premium Club from Cellars Wine Club to use for our review and experience. This particular club selects wines from classic regions like Italy and France, as well as up-and-coming hotspots like New Zealand and South Africa. They hand-select the very best wines from limited release bottles and boutique vineyards from around the globe. We chose to receive 2 whites, but you can also choose 1 white/1 red or all reds. You receive 2 bottles in each shipment and can choose to receive them monthly, every other month or quarterly.

What Wine Did I Receive?
I received 2 bottles of wine in my shipment from the Premium Club.
- Tintero Elvio – Italy – 2015 Arneis DOC Langhe
- Juan Ramon Lozano – Spain – 2016 Rey De Copas Viura La Mancha.
How Did it Taste?
The Tintero Elvio was a light and refreshing wine that is described as soft, juicy, and fruity in flavor. It was very easy and smooth to drink and would do really well with seafood and salads in the spring and summer. I also think this wine would be great in a sangria! This is a perfect versatile wine that I think most people would like to drink as there is nothing too harsh or overwhelming in aroma or taste. Some may even think the flavor is not bold enough if you really like pungent wines.
Juan Ramon was a very bright and citrusy wine with flavors of lemons, limes, and grapefruit. It had a light flavor and could have used a little more depth or tasting notes. This is the perfect wine to pair with fresh salads and seafood and it will be great with rich dishes to help cut through the richness of the dish.
Would I Drink it Again?
I would definitely drink both of them again. They were not me favorite white wines, but they were still great quality and tasty enough to drink again and to share with family and friends. They are both good wines that will suite a lot of different tastes, so they are a good option to gift or serve are parties and get togethers.
Would I Recommend Cellars Wine Club?
I would recommend Cellars to anyone who is mainly focused on receiving high-quality wines and not as interested in the extras many other wine clubs provide their members. They do not have many membership perks, shipping and packaging are lacking quite a bit, and they are at a higher price point as well.
However, you can feel confident knowing the wines you will get every month will be fantastic and that may be reason enough for some to choose Cellars Wine Club.
