Their selection includes rare, limited edition and collectors wines as well as a few budget-friendly, yet delicious selections. All wines are picked to pair with recipes straight from the Food & Wine magazine for the full experience.

A wine club that focuses on enhancing the wine tasting experience, just like they focus on their food experiences in their magazine.

Wine Selection: (Rating: 9/10)

Just like other magazine and newspaper-backed wine clubs, the Food & Wine club has all of their wines handpicked by their skilled editors. The wines are chosen to match recipes in their magazine and include reds, whites and some sparkling editions.

Wine Quality: (Rating: 9/10)

The Adventurer Club features more budget-friendly, yet highly rated wines, while the Collector Club deals with boutique, limited production, rare and vintage selections. The club features international as well as local wines.

Memberships/Pricing: (Rating: 9/10)

There are four memberships to choose from, and their per-bottle pricing is fairly affordable given the selections members receive. There are no contracts and members can cancel at any time. But, shipping prices are rather pricey – and raise the per bottle price once a customer totals it all out.

Additional Perks: (Rating: 9/10)

Members receive sommelier-tasting notes in each shipment, recipe pairings, and ideas prepared in the Food & Wine test kitchen. They also get 10% off additional orders and members earn points for every dollar they spend – eventually earning a $25 coupon off wine.

States: (Rating: 10/10)

Because this membership is a partnership with the Global Wine Company, the policy on shipping is similar. They can direct ship to CA, ID, LA, MO, ND, NE, NH, NM, NV, OR, WV, WY. Also, shipments are sent to local retailers for shipment in AZ, CO, CT, DC, FL, HI, IA, IL, IN, MA, MI, MN, NJ, NY, OH, VA, WA.

At this time, the company does not ship to AK, AL, AR, DE, GA, KS, KY, MD, ME, MS, MT, NC, OK, PA, RI, SC, SD, TN, UT, VT, WI.

Events: (Rating: 0/10)

The Food & Wine club does not have any online or local events.

Website Features: (Rating: 10/10)

The website is straightforward and has all of the information prospective and current members need. Pricing is clear, they have online guides, pairings and even a sale section for member’s bargain hunting for more wines.

Customer Service/Support: (Rating: 10/10)

Who is This Wine Club Best Suited For?

The Food & Wine club has great pricing, but they are most likely going to appeal to the foodie with a desire for great wines. Because they put a lot of emphasis on recipes and pairings, someone who reads and follows Food & Wine magazine will enjoy this club more than a member that does not.

What We Like and What We Don't Like

A club that features wine pairings and recipes exclusively from the Food & Wine Magazine has to be good. While they come from a refined group of wine experts, they feature a per bottle price that is relatively affordable.

There are no contracts and members can cancel anytime – but members cannot skip shipments. So, a member may have to cancel just to skip one shipment. The club does give you the option to hold your shipment, but you will still be obligated to fulfill that shipment within the order. The shipping rates are not included in the price and they are a little high.

Members do, however, get discounts on additional purchases, earn reward points for future discounts, and receive expert information from Food & Wine test kitchen team members.
