Gifts on a Budget
Not everyone can spend hundreds on every recipient on their holiday gift-giving list, but a limited budget also doesn’t mean you have to go for the cheap dollar store finds. We’ve made it a little easier to find those budget-friendly gifts for family, friends and even coworkers this holiday – so you can be the gift giving machine that stays in the green.
Keeping Gifts Under $20
Only got $20 to spend this holiday? No worries! There are tons of great gifts out there that can be sent to family and friends for less than $20 bucks total.
A dozen brownies from the infamous Bake Me a Wish is our favorite. They have holiday morsels and even Christmas-inspired flavors. Just a few of the varieties you can pick from include their classic cake brownies, peanut butter crunch brownies, raspberry crumb and more.
Prefer something sweet and sugary? A truffle sampler from Godiva is perfect – and you could even order a little something for yourself and stay within budget.
Lastly, don’t forget the potential of storage – we mean cloud storage. If someone you know works online or has a plethora of music piling up on their hard drive, give them the gift of a month of Unlimited Storage from Dropbox.
Keeping Gifts Under $50
Believe it or not, $50 can easily be stretched and go quite a long way when it comes to a gift. If you aren’t sure where to start, we suggest looking into the following budget-friendly options for less than a Grant (aka, the $50).
- 1. Send out a holiday fruit basket from the creatives over at Harry & David. They have plenty of fruit baskets and even cheese baskets for less than $50 – you can even upgrade and add a bottle of wine depending on the basket you choose.
- 2. Send someone a gift of a beer of the month club membership from Beer of the Month Club. One month is well under $50 and you could even see if there are a few other monthly club options to treat yourself with all the savings you’ve earned.
- 3. Prefer wine? Send out a month-to-month wine club membership to family and friends – we suggest starting with California Wine Club, the Gold Medal Wine Club or even the International Wine of the Month Club.
- 4. Want something edible? A few gourmet cookies from Shari’s Berries should do the trick. Check out their Christmas macaroons or chocolate covered Oreos for starters.
Christmas isn’t just about how much you spend – it’s about the thought. Buy something that truly speaks to your recipient and don’t worry so much about cost – there are plenty of budget-friendly options out there to choose from.
