Coffee Selection: (Rating: 10/10)
The Good
All of the coffees from Atlas Coffee Club are single-origin and expertly curated by their staff of coffee aficionados. They grab coffees from around the world that are sure to impress and wow the senses.
Their coffees feature light-to-medium roasts and medium-to-dark roasts. For the bold adventurer, you can sign up for all roast types and receive coffees from all over the roast spectrum.
You can also select between whole bean and ground (at your convenience).
Every coffee is unique, exotic, and not something you’ll find locally.
Their coffees come from the far reaches of the globe, including Peru, Kenya, Brazil, and even Ethiopia.
They do offer a few blends as well, such as their Midnight Blend, which features a robust dark roast designed for those that are ready to burn the midnight oil.
The Bad
They don’t offer k-cups, iced coffees, flavored varieties, or decaf, but that is because they are focusing on global coffees and exotic explorations. They are clear about their company’s concept; therefore, we aren’t holding it against them.
Coffee Bean Freshness: (Rating: 10/10)
The Good
All coffees are curated from single origin beans and come from some of the most refined coffee growing regions in the world.
Each batch has a freshness guarantee from Atlas. They promise that all coffees are delivered at peak freshness and you will receive a brand new bag if your freshness is ever compromised.
All bags are vacuum-sealed and protected from light.
The Bad
Nothing. The freshness of Atlas Coffee Clubs beans is astounding. The moment you open the bag you can tell how fresh they are and the aroma is ecstasy.
Coffee Quality and Taste: (Rating: 10/10)
Read my full experience of Atlas Coffee Club to see how trying this club’s coffee turned out.
The Good
Atlas Coffee Club promises that they will curate some of the finest coffee from around the world, and they deliver on every word.
I received a Brazilian Cerrado Mineira. It is a medium-roast and while I’m usually partial to dark roasts, I was in love with this one.
The body was smooth, the flavors of hazelnut and chocolate were there, but they didn’t overpower my senses. There wasn’t any lingering aftertaste and definitely no acidity. It was quite amazing.
The Bad
Nothing. I was so impressed with this bag that when it’s gone, I’ll probably be reordering it.
Memberships/Pricing: (Rating: 10/10)
The Good
You have a lot of say in how you receive your club membership. When you go to subscribe, you’re presented with a list of questions.
First, you will pick how many bags of 12 ounce coffee you want, ranging from 1 to 3 bags.
Second, you choose how often you want your coffee delivered, which ranges from biweekly to monthly.
Next, Atlas wants to know your coffee preference, so that they can send you coffee within your preferred taste profile. You can choose Light to Medium, Medium to Dark, or All Roast Types.
Last, you choose if you want whole bean or ground.
Prices range from $14 for one bag, $28 for two bags, and $42 for three bags or about $1.17 per ounce. While pricier, you are paying for single-origin, expertly curated coffees.
You can change your selections at any time, swap preferences, cancel and pause too. There’s no contract or commitment here.
The Bad
It is hard to find negatives with Atlas Coffee Club’s concept. Their prices are reasonable, their membership options flexible, and you even have say in the type of coffee you receive. Overall, their membership is impressive, competitive, and worth trying out.
Additional Club Perks: (Rating: 9/10)
The Good
Every shipment comes with a postcard from the region where your coffee is featured from.
Each shipment also includes tailored brewing recommendations so that you can fully explore the flavor notes of your coffee.
If you join the club, you also receive a lifetime discount of 5% off bagged coffees. If you like certain coffees or want to try something out of the membership, you can purchase them from their online store. You could also subscribe to the specific coffee and receive a 7% discount.
Their community online features articles from local contributors, brewing instructions, coffee education, insight into specific coffee regions, and more. They even discuss local coffee shops to visit in certain regions, travel advice, and tidbits.
The Bad
There are no free trials at this time and you can’t earn free coffee.
Shipping/Packaging: (Rating: 9/10)
The Good
All coffee clubs come with free shipping.
They promise your coffee will be received within seven days of roasting or your next bag is free — that’s quite the perk.
Instead of excess paper, your tasting notes and coffee information are printed on the label of the bag. Here you will find the processing method used, altitude the coffee was grown at, the flavors, and the roast. You also receive the region and name of the coffee.
The Bad
Their shipping presentation is a little lackluster compared to other clubs, but I love the colorful packaging and postcard.
Gift Memberships: (Rating: 8/10)
The Good
You can send a gift subscription to a recipient of your choice through the Atlas Coffee Club.
To do this, you will need to pick from one of three options:
Starter Pack – 3 Months
Standard – 6 Months
Coffee Lover – 12 Months
These are all prepaid gift memberships. The coffees will feature all types of roasts, but you can pick ground or whole bean.
The Bad
Some may be turned off by having to prepay for three, six or 12 month subscriptions. This means they have to know their coffee recipient is a true coffee lover that will enjoy the membership.
There are no other coffee gifts or gift card options either.
Website: (Rating: 9/10)
The Good
Atlas Coffee Club has one of the most extensive brewing guides I’ve ever seen. They have sections that focus on each type of brew, from aeropress to French press to pour over. They tell you in detail how to use each method, equipment you’ll need, and how to maximize flavor.
They focus on the artisan way to brew, so no automatic machines and brewers here, but that’s not an issue.
The community section doubles as their blog and they have guest contributors who also help share the wealth of coffee knowledge out there.
The Bad
Their FAQs section is a little sparse, but most of the information you need to know is placed on the respective pages, so you don't have to go hunting down information.
Customer Service: (Rating: 10/10)
The Good
Atlas Coffee Club lets you leave a message online and you can even attach pictures or files. They also have an online contact form. They also are available on social media.
Atlas responds extremely fast to inquiries. We reached out to them and had a response in less than one hour. They are friendly, helpful, and their lightening fast response times are extremely impressive. It goes to show that they take their customers seriously and we appreciate it.
The Bad
There is no dedicated phone line.

Who is This Coffee Club Best Suited For?
This is a club for the true coffee adventurer. You can’t be afraid to try something new with Atlas Coffee Club. Instead, you’re ready to satisfy your craving for the exotic and new and explore a different country and bean in every cup.
What We Like About Atlas Coffee Club
Freshness Guarantee: Atlas is the only club I’ve seen so far that offers a freshness guarantee. They promise to all customers that if their bags of coffee are not received within seven days of roasting, they will send a free bag. That’s quite impressive. Not only are they saying they have “fresh” coffee, but they’re backing it up.
Coffee Bags Designed By Atlas: When you receive your coffee, you may notice that the bags are colorful, artistic and unique. That is because Atlas Coffee Club uses the inspiration of the region, their landscapes, and colors to create a bag that helps you feel more in touch with the region. You can read about the inspiration behind each bag too on their Coffee Culture posts.
Postcard: With every bag you receive coffee from, you receive a postcard from that region. My coffee came from Brazil, so I received a postcard for Brazil.
What We Don't Like About Atlas Coffee Club
No Newsletter: If I had one complaint, and it’s more of just a nitpick because that’s what I’m paid for, I wish Atlas included a newsletter. I’d love to read more about the region where the coffee came from. While they do share this online, it would be more educational to have it in the box with your coffee. That way you could read it over while sipping on your next exploration.
Final Thoughts
Atlas Coffee Club has an amazing product and concept. These are true coffee experts that are dedicated to exploring the globe’s exotic offerings. From their unique bag designs to fun, creative blogs, they are a worthwhile coffee club for anyone that likes to explore the world’s finest coffees.
