Meeting Setup: (Rating: 10/10)

There really is not much set up needed before you begin your meetings. Simply start the iMeet app, fill in your bio and other pertinent information (or connect your social media sites and let them complete this task for you), invite your participants, and start your meeting. You can spend a little more time personalizing the iMeet client to your business, but this is not necessary to run an effective, impromptu meeting.

Features: (Rating: 7/10)

This web conferencing platform does have a limited number of features, but that is also what makes it such a simplistic platform to use. You are able to share your screen, share files, see who is talking, and give valuable presentations. On the other hand, you are not able to schedule meetings using their platform. You do, however have a customized URL and call in numbers.

Video: (Rating: 10/10)

During your meetings you and your participants are able to view 15 HD quality video streams. Using the PGI Desktop platform integration you can also view the speakers video stream while viewing their shared screen simultaneously.

Audio: (Rating: 10/10)

Whether you are listening via web, phone, or VoIP there is a crystal clear audio. You will not have to worry if your participants can hear you or each other. Plus, as the host you also have the ability to mute and unmute your participants. When using the iMeet downloadable app to join the meeting your will also have HD sound quality.

Security: (Rating: 8/10)

In order to attend an iMeet meeting, you do need to have access to the meeting URL or the hosts contact information through your iMeet app. However, there are not any PINS needed and if you have participated in a meeting before they can join again. The good thing is that the host can change the URL, has an option to lock, or kick a participant out of the meeting.

Ease of Use: (Rating: 10/10)

iMeet allows hosts to open their meeting dashboard and begin their meeting right away. There are not many features and buttons crowding the dashboard which makes it one of the more simplistic meeting dashboards. You do have to download the desktop app to hosts meetings, though. However, your participants can view the meeting from any browser and do not have to download anything.

Help & Support: (Rating: 10/10)

Excellent customer service. iMeet’s team is very considerate of your time while they help you solve your problem. They are even available through chat and phone to help you during your meetings. Other ways they provide customer help and support are through email, their extensive list of guides, videos, and FAQs.

What We Like About iMeet

Support for all Platforms: iMeet is supported on Firefox, Chrome, Internet Explorer, and Safari. You can use the web conferencing system on Windows or Mac operating systems.

Support for Larger Meetings: Although you are only able to view up to 15 HD video streams, you can visually see all participants who are logged in using their info cards. You have the ability to hold meetings with up to 125 participants.

Simplistic Web Conferencing Platform: The simple web conferencing app from iMeet provides the host with an easy, simple platform. In a few clicks you can begin your meeting, share video, share your screen, upload files, and raise your hand. From this simple platform you also have the option to have the meeting call your participants for you.

Mobile Support: iMeet is supported on iPhone, iPad, and Android devices. It is easy for the host and participants to join from anywhere.

Some Customizable Options: Although it is a simple platform, you do have the options of changing your background and URL. The host also has the option to mute or unmute all participants, share notes with participants, and send sms messages to participants if they log in before the host.

Browser Based: Participants have the option to join the meeting using their web browser without downloading any apps. However, it is best if they use the apps on their mobile devices as the screen view is bigger.

Social Media Integration: Both the hosts and the participants can integrate their social media accounts. Once accounts are linked, participants have the option to log in using those accounts. Another bonus of the social media integration is the use of the platforms on their info cards. During the meeting each participant can view information about other participants by clicking on their info cards; they will see their latest posts and biography.

Visual & Video Conferencing: Only 15 participants can share video at a time, however everyone can have their info cards showing. The info cards contain a photo and links to their social media posts and bios. This is a wonderful feature that iMeet offers so that everyone knows who is in the meeting with them.

What We Don’t Like About iMeet

Unable to Schedule Meetings: Using iMeet you can successfully run ad-hoc meetings, however you cannot schedule a meeting or have recurring meetings. As a way around this, iMeet offers the ability to add participants to your contacts list. This allows them to join anyone’s meeting the next time. If you want to have recurring meetings, simply keep the URL and call in numbers the same and people can join your meeting.

No Application Sharing: You do have to ability to share your screen and upload documents, however there is not an options to share a specific application.

No Business Customization: Unfortunately, iMeet does not currently have the option to customize per your business. Although you can change the background image, you cannot upload a business logo or create a color scheme that matches your business. iMeet does give you the chance to enter specific business information into you bio and through connections with your social media networks, though.

Final Thoughts

iMeet offers an innovative web conferencing system which supports many web based integrations. Using video or visual conferencing every participant can know who is in the meeting and learn about that individual through their information card that contains social media integrations. iMeet offers a very easy to use screen sharing and file upload system without too many features overwhelming the platform.
