My Experience With Atlas Coffee Club
We may earn money or products (at no cost to you) from the companies mentioned in this post. However, we do not let any merchant influence our ratings - even though they might like to. ;-) Some of our top rated merchants we have no relationship with, other than we like their products! We do however appreciate you using our links when possible, because it allows us to keep the lights on and bring you more great reviews!
Atlas Coffee Club is all about creating a global experience.
And, they sure deliver on that promise.
They are the only coffee club I have seen to implement a freshness guarantee. They don’t just promise, they back it up with a free bag of coffee if they don’t deliver super fresh coffee.
Even better, they’re creative, fun and all about creating that “exploration” experience.
Each bag comes designed by the team of coffee connoisseurs, focusing on the colors and inspiration of the region. They also include a postcard, so if you want, you can send off a note and tell people about your travels — even if you were sitting on your couch at home.
What Coffee Did I Receive?
Atlas Coffee Club was gracious enough to send me a bag of whole bean coffee to try.
They sent me whole beans, which I prefer. The bag was colorful and indicative of Brazil.
Each bag features the clubs tasting notes on the label. It includes information like:
- Elevation it was grown at
- Roast type
- Processing method
This particular bag claimed to have chocolate and hazelnut notes….mmmmm.
I also received my postcard from Brazil — since that’s the coffee region they’re focusing on this month.
So, How Did It Taste?
I received whole beans, so I quickly ground them up.
As I have said in the past, I highly recommend purchasing a grinder. They’re inexpensive and worth the extra step if you want maximum freshness.
While the coffee was brewing, I could sense the nuttiness from the hazelnut. It was warm, but not overpowering.
The taste was exceptional. I really enjoyed the chocolate hints and nuttiness of this coffee. It wasn’t acidic and there weren’t any bitter or gross aftertastes. In fact, it was the epitome of pleasant.
The body of the coffee was smooth, like butter.
Would I Drink It Again?
Here’s the thing, I usually don’t like washed coffees.
But, Atlas surprised me here. They sent me a fully washed bag of beans that I was dreading trying and I was impressed!
I loved it so much I had more the next day. And again later that day.
This coffee was the perfect balance of everything I look for in a coffee. Flavor, yes. Robust, yes.
So, yes, I will and did drink it again.
Would I Recommend Atlas Coffee Club?
I love their concept. They expertly curate global coffees you cannot find anywhere else.
More so, they focus only on gourmet coffees with unique flavor profiles.
The club itself lets you choose between light to medium and medium to dark. You can also pick all flavors if you are adventurous.
If you’re looking for a monthly club that delivers high-quality coffees with glorious flavor profiles, you’re going to love Atlas. And, it all starts for less than $20 a month!
Hats off to you Atlas Coffee Club for converting me into a washed coffee lover.
