1-VoIP has a variety of plans to choose from and while they come with a very interesting list of features, the price per extension is rather steep. But, if a company only needs one extension, the plans may be just fine for the budget. Minutes are restricted to just 3000 per month, and they do not offer unlimited calling – making them one of the more expensive VoIP services out there. There are no contracts nor are there hidden fees. When you request a quote online, you are provided with instant costs – which are rather significant upfront. Plans range from one user up to as many as 100+ users. Free in-network calls are available with 1-VoIP Business.
Call Management: (Rating: 5/10)
1-VoIP hosts and manages all business services. So, you will access and manage your account through them and changes are immediate. They have an online management tool where you can turn on and off features with ease, add extensions or numbers, upgrade your plan, etc. Their services does not integrate with other apps and you cannot get any advanced call reports or analytic to review your services.

You can port your existing number over to 1-VoIP Business. They do offer toll-free numbers, but these are an added charge and they do not offer international numbers. At this time, they do not offer vanity numbers. While this may not matter to some businesses, others may want a vanity number for branding.

The advanced features come at an extra cost and aren’t as impressive as other companies. Considering that 1-VoIP business is already at a high cost per month, these added features may not be worth it to most customers. Some of the advanced features include conference calling, ACD queues, etc. There are some standard features users get with their plans, including digital forwarding, softphone, virtual fax, extensions, hold music and more. They do not integrate with CRM or outlook.
Most of the “advanced” features that you pay extra for with 1-VoIP are often offered at no extra cost with other cloud based phone services, so most companies may not feel the need to even pay for them.

1-VoIP Business does have a user-friendly service. For the most part, businesses should have no problems setting up their service or accessing their features. They have a user-friendly online account management tool and the softphone app is easy to use as well.

Tech support is available 24/7 via phone and email with 1-VoIP, this is a rare find for most business VoIP services. They do not offer live chat services at this time and their help guides online are not as in-depth as other companies.

What We Like About 1-VoIP Business
Discounts for Multiple Users: Not all VoIP services will give businesses a discount with the more users they add. Because businesses are charged per user, per month, this is a big bonus. The discount is a few dollars each month, but that adds up when you have 20+ people on your service.
No Contracts: 1-VoIP does not make you sign a contract and you pay month-to-month. There is no cancellation fee for the service either.
Toll-Free Ready: Users who wish to have a toll-free number can get one through 1-VoIP and they can port their existing toll-free or local number into the service as well.
Custom Plans Available: For users that do not like the standard plans available, 1-VoIP business does allow custom plans. But, the prices on this are not clear and it would depend on the exact features, numbers and amount of users added.
Service Level Agreement: 1-VoIP offers a service level agreement, which means peace of mind for business users. Not all business VoIP services have these; therefore, it is a sign of a solid business when you do see one.
Self-Hosted and Managed: 1-VoIP does not outsource their servers or their management. Instead, they built their own software, maintain it and host all cloud calling plans in-house.
What We Didn’t Like About 1-VoIP Business
High Price: Compared to other VoIP services, 1-VoIP Business has some of the highest per user rates and you still have to pay for advanced features that other companies may offer for free (i.e. conference calling, call recording, etc.). Also, the lack of call analytics for a business owner to review or call logs may be an issue – especially for the price. For enterprises this may not be an issue, but for small businesses, the extreme costs may make this service not worth the price.
No Free Trial: With their high price, 1-VoIP Business does not offer a free trial or money back guarantee; so business users would have to be willing to lose out on a month’s worth of service – and most may not be willing to do that.
Limited Minutes: For the price, most business users would expect unlimited local and long-distance calling, but instead, users are restricted to 3,000 minutes each month and then the international calling rates apply as well.
No Third Party Software Integration: You cannot integrate 1-VoIP with any other service or app, which makes the phone service extremely limiting for some business users.
